Baldwin State Prison is comprised of seven housing units with a total of 754 general population beds, featuring open dormitory, tiered living unit, or two-man cell designs. It also includes Acute Care, Crisis Stabilization, a hospital infirmary, and segregation areas. Additionally, the facility houses a C.E.R.T. Team and a Tactical Squad.
Various programs offered at the facility cover academic pursuits like GED, ABE, and Literacy Remedial Education, as well as counseling services such as HIV Awareness, Positive Mental Attitude, Re-Entry, T4C, Celebrate Recovery, Family Violence, Integrity Program, and numerous mental health groups.
Recreational activities include General Recreation, while religious activities encompass Various Worship Services, Gospel Music, and Pastoral Counseling. Vocational/OJT opportunities are available in areas like Food Preparation, Horticulture, Graphic Arts, Maintenance, Forklift operation, and Barber services.
