Prospective visitors of Georgia inmates must complete a visitors application and be approved before they can visit an inmate. Start by filling out a Georgia Inmate Visitation Request Form.
- All visitors regardless of age must fill out a visitors application. You will need to know the inmate's ID number and full name, you can find this information by doing a Georgia Inmate Search.
- You must gather and submit a copy of all the documents required in the application, this includes a valid government issued photo ID.
- The application must be completed, signed and notarized.
- Familiarize yourself with the Georgia Inmate Visitation Policy and Rules to know what is expected from all visitors.
- Once your visitors application is approved, you can Schedule a Visit with an Inmate in Georgia.
- If something happens and you can no longer make the scheduled visit you can cancel a visit here.

Important things to know when visiting an inmate in Georgia:
- Anyone 16 and older must have a valid government issued photo ID with them.
- Your ID must match the name used on your visitors application. Changes to name etc. must be updated through the facility within 60 days of the change.
- DO NOT BRING DRUGS, TOBACCO, or CELL PHONES inside of the prison, this will result in the visitor being arrested.
Dress Code and Visiting Rules
- No halter tops, tank tops, or crop tops
- Midriff/stomach, chest and shoulders are required to be covered
- No sleeveless dresses, tops, or t-shirts
- No see-through, mesh webbing or sheer garments
- No suggestive or revealing clothing
- No spandex or stretch pants
- Skirts/dresses may not be more than 2 inches above the knee
- No shorts (children 12 and under are allowed to wear shorts)
- No electronics of any kind. This includes cell phones, beepers, laptops, tablets, fit bits or other electronic devices.
- No clothing that contains profanity, or be symbolic of drugs or gangs, sexual symbols, or contain offensive or threatening language/images are prohibited
- Food and drink may not enter the facility
- Visitors are only allowed to bring ID, car key or FOB, and a maximum of $20 in quarters or a debit card for the vending machines is allowed.
