Arizona State Prison Phoenix West is a minimum custody facility that has a 200 bed second change center for inmate serving the last few weeks of their sentence. Many work opportunities exist for inmates in building trusses, installing drywall, building cabinets, and office furniture.
Inmates incarcerated here can get a basic adult education (9th grade equivalent) and can even earn a GED (high school equivalent education). Parenting classes, self control courses, and computer/job readiness skills are provided to inmates. This facility is privately run by the GEO Group.
