The Massachusetts Department of Corrections allows you to send funds to an incarcerated individual. These funds can be used to purchase items from the canteen, including snacks, hygiene, clothing items and more.
Fund an Massachusetts inmate accounts through the following methods:
- Online: through the Access Corrections website.
- By Mobile App: Download the Access Corrections app, available on Apple and Android.
- By Telephone: Call Access Corrections at 1-866-345-1884.
- By Mail: Send up to $1,000, using a money order or check with a deposit slip via the mail.
- Fill out and print a deposit form and include it with your money order/check.
- Make the money order payable to: "Access Corrections"

- Checks have a ten day hold placed on them until the funds clear.
- In Person: Deliver funds to your inmate in person by walking into any Cash Pay Today locations (CVS, Walmart, 7-eleven, Dollar General, Circle K, Walgreens, and Family Dollar) and fund the deposit with cash. Additionally, select facilities have drop boxes in the lobby that will allow deposits made in cash or personal check. A seven day hold is placed on all personal checks and money order that exceed $200.
