Arizona State Prison Complex Douglas is comprised of five separate units. The Units are Eggers, Gila, Mohave, Papago, and the Complex Detention Unit. Each unit specializes in a certain classification of inmate, with the Complex Detention Unit housing the most dangerous and unruly offenders.
Different programs are available at each facility, with basic adult and GED education available at all of the units.
Some of the treatment programs available at ASPC Douglas include a Narcotics and Alcoholics Anonymous group, substance abuse treatment and a new program aimed at helping inmates with their reentry into society called 'Merging Two Worlds'.
Road and general labor crews, building and vehicle maintenance and fire crews are just some of the institutional employment opportunities provided at Douglas.
