Established in 1974, Benton Unit is a work release facility in Benton County Arkansas. It is a minimum custody level facility that houses up to 325 male offenders. Inmates incarcerated at this institution can earn time off of their sentence for good behavior and working. Many of the offenders at this facility are people who had a technical violation on their parole, or are pre-release, meaning they are getting ready to be released from prison.
